Sample 1:- Describe an Interesting Thing You Have Learned from A Foreign Culture

Culture is a way of life. There are diverse cultures in the world, and culture is usually unique to a particular place. I have learned some interesting things about several cultures, but I will like to talk about the white culture of the wedding ceremonies because of its simplicity.

In this culture, whenever there is a wedding ceremony, they just invite few people to the church or even only the couple and the parents will be present with the pastor to join them, after which they may or may not have got together, unlike my own culture where it is compulsory for all extended family members must be present and a big after party must follow.

I learned about this culture during my social study class in high school when the teacher cited examples of different cultures. If other cultures can conform to this behavior, it will help to save a lot of money usually spent on wedding ceremonies. Also, it reduces the physical burden that comes with the celebration.

In our school, during the cultural exchange program, one student came from United Nations and explained about friendship day. International friendship day is celebrated annually on July 30.th there is no holiday on this day; instead, this day is celebrated by friends exchanging greeting cards and gifts and spending some quality time with their best friends.

I found this thing more interesting because I have a few friends close to my heart. I learned so many things like friendship and inspirable parts of our life; without them, life would be done. I think it is the best way to express our feelings. We all must make friends and create a strong bond with them.
